Bill Loved Racing!

Bill Waite Jr. was a lifelong Illinois Valley resident and businessman. Bill started his racing career, as a child, in karts. He moved into stock cars in the 1980’s and sprint cars in the 1990’s. Bill competed throughout the Midwest mainly in the Interstate Racing Association (IRA), Great Lakes Outlaw Sprint Association (GLOSS) and Midwest All Star Series (MASS). Bill retired from racing to manage the family towing and auto repair business in Cherry, Illinois. He was killed on the job in 2008 on I-80 helping a stranded motorist.

City of LaSalle and Peru Residents don’t forget you will receive $10 off general admission tickets during the Aug 4-5 IMCA One Night Stand at LaSalle Speedway presented by Hoker Trucking.

City of LaSalle and Peru Residents will need to show their ID at the front ticket window to receive $10 off their general admission ticket. Must show photo ID with address to apply. 1 discount per person.

LaSalle Speedway wanted to give local residents a discount to show thanks for all the years the local residents have supported LaSalle Speedway. Friday August 4th will feature IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA SportMods all racing for $1000 to win each. Saturday August 5th will feature IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA SportMods all racing for $3000 to win each. Come see the best IMCA drivers in the midwest and the LaSalle Speedway.

Two-Night One Night Stand

Aug. 4-5 LaSalle Speedway

LaSALLE, Ill. – One night of IMCA racing just won’t be enough for the One Night Stand at LaSalle Speed­way. Presented by Hoker Trucking, the third annual spe­cial retains its name while expanding to two days Friday and Saturday, Aug. 4 and 5. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Late Models and Karl Chevro­let Northern SportMods race each race for $1,000 to win on opening night and for $3,000 to win on night two.

Both Modified features are qualifying events for the 2018 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. IMCA Speed­way Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Per­formance State points will be awarded both nights in all three divisions; Side Biter Chassis North Central Re­gion points will be given for each Modified show as well. There are no entry fees.

Minimum start money on Friday is $200 for Late Mod­els and $125 for Modifieds. Late Models get $250 to start, Modifieds $150 to start on Saturday. Start money both nights for Northern SportMods is $100.

Tow money in all three divisions is $75.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. both days. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with racing to fol­low.
Spectator admission for adults is $20 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Kids 11 and under get in free when accom­panying a paid adult and pit passes are $35 both days.

The Thursday, Aug. 3 open practice runs from 6-10 p.m. Pit passes are $25 and there is no charge for grand­stand admission.

3rd Annual IMCA One Night Stand

The 3rd Annual IMCA One Night Stand at LaSalle Speedway just got even better! The August 4th and 5th IMCA Special will feature full programs both nights. Friday night IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA SportMods with each feature paying $1,000 to win. We then come back on Saturday night with IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds and IMCA SportsMods racing for $3,000.00 to win each division.

IMCA state and national points are to be given each night. The LaSalle Speedway staff wanted this to be a great weekend for the racers and the fans. We will be announcing more in depth format details real soon but wanted to let everyone know that there will be full programs each night.

Both nights of the IMCA One Night Stand will also be broadcast live on IMCA.TV. We encourage everyone to come to the races as there is nothing like seeing the action live in person. For some reason you cant be at LaSalle Speedway you can watch the races live on IMCA.TV.
